Helena Andreou

Helena graduated from Leicester University in 1992 and obtained an L.L.B (Hons). She then continued her studies at Sheffield University and in 1993 she obtained an L.L.M. in International and Commercial Law. Helena was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 1995 and has since been a lawyer in the firm. In 2003 she became a partner of the firm.

She has a very strong litigation background having acted for financial institutions, insurance companies and other international corporate and private clients.

She specialises in large-scale litigation and is considered a leading litigator in the urgent handling of cases requiring interim measures.

Helena regularly advises in relation to complex cases involving shareholder disputes, corporate fraud, breaches of trust and fiduciary duty, and a wide variety of general commercial disputes.

Helena also has great expertise in banking litigation and consultation. She is also involved in arbitration on banking and finance matters and advises banks on banking and finance extrajudicial matters. She focuses on domestic and international debt collecting, loan recoveries and debt recovery.

She also advices for major Insurance companies and has handled over the years a large number of personal injury claims and she has the ability to handle the claim either at the early stages of negotiation or through legal proceedings.
